Idaho Press - Riders beware: Dirt bikes banned on the greenbelt

ARTICLE (May 30, 2026): The Treasure Valley Partnership held a news conference in Garden City to announce a regional Greenbelt safety and education initiative ahead of the busy summer recreation season. The coordinated effort focused on promoting safe shared use of the Boise River Greenbelt and educating the public about which electric vehicles are permitted on the shared pathway system.

In attendance were Garden City Mayor Bill Jacobs, Eagle Mayor Brad Pike, Boise Mayor Lauren McLean, Middleton Mayor Tim O’Meara, Ada County Commissioner Rod Beck, and Ada County Commissioner Ryan Davidson.
